Ross Video expands the openGear partnership with UK-based Rascular Technology. Rascular offers a one-stop software application that controls equipment from a diverse set of manufacturers in an on-air environment.

Helm — Rascular’s flagship product — is a fully user-configurable, PC-based application providing either mouse-driven or touchscreen control and monitoring via TCP/IP for a wide range of broadcast equipment workflows.

“Helm allows customers to select from best-of-breed technologies,” said Ephraim Barrett, Rascular’s sales director. “By integrating with Ross’ openGear standard, Helm now has the potential to control any and all technology in the openGear platform.”

“With the addition of Rascular, we continue to grow the openGear platform partnership with over 20 partners,” said Eric Goodmurphy, infrastructure marketing product manager at Ross Video. “It’s important to Ross that openGear customers can purchase the best products to meet their needs in price and delivery, and Rascular’s Helm provides customers with yet another choice.”
