AJA has released the new v4.0 firmware for Ki Pro Mini, offering support for the Avid DNxHD video codec, enabling further production efficiencies to Avid Media Composer family customers. ”Customers have been requesting Avid DNxHD support since we first released Ki Pro Mini,” said Nick Rashby, president, AJA Video Systems. “We always strive to offer AJA customers with the ultimate workflow flexibility, and support for Avid DNxHD as a free firmware upgrade for Ki Pro Mini is yet another way of doing that.”

“We’ve been working closely with AJA to build optimized Avid DNxHD support into Ki Pro Mini, allowing editors using Avid editing systems to simplify their workflows and improve image quality throughout the editorial process,” said Adam Green, senior director of post and professional segment marketing, Avid. “We’re very pleased that this support is now available to our customers and AJA’s existing Ki Pro Mini customers.”

Ki Pro Mini is available through AJA’s global network of resellers at a US MSRP of $1995. Support for the Avid DNxHD codec is available as a free downloadable firmware upgrade.
