Sportel: The International Judo Federation (IJF) and the combat sports media rights agency Fighting Spirit are to join the EBU’s new online content trading platform, EurovisionShowcase.com.

EurovisionShowcase.com promotes rights availability for programmes and formats from around the globe enabling creators to showcase their work and buyers to source content for their channels.

Andy Wood, CEO, Eurovision London Limited (the EBU subsidiary that developed the platform) comments: “Competitive Olympic sport content is becoming increasingly popular and we are delighted that the IJF is joining our new online marketplace and community for media professionals. EurovisionShowcase.com complements existing distribution channels by providing a powerful set of tools to enable rights holders to promote content availability and rights buyers to source quality content.”

Horatiu Nicolau, Media Director, IJF, comments: “Our objective is to develop the worldwide spread of Judo. EurovisionShowcase.com is a powerful marketing resource and will enable us to promote our content rights and reach out to the global media industry.”

And, rounding off the quotes, Sacha Puyssegur, Sales Manager, Fighting Spirit, said: “EurovisionShowcase.com is a powerful marketing resource that enables us to promote our content rights and reach out to the global media industry.”
