Telecast Fiber hits Germany via Wellen+Nöthen

Telecast Fiber Systems has signed a cooperation agreement with the distribution unit of full-service provider Wellen+Nöthen. Starting now, Wellen+Nöthen will operate as master reseller for the U.S. manufacturer for Germany.

The comprehensive portfolio of Telecast Fiber Systems, a subsidiary of the Belden technology group, includes fibre-optic solutions for transmission of signals for data, sound, and video applications: for example, camera control and communication units for portable cameras. This portfolio also includes fibre-optic transceivers from the CopperHead series of Telecast Fiber Systems: compact systems that provide a reliable fibre-optic connection between the camera and ENG/SNG unit. The CopperHead 3050 system can be used with any portable digital or analog camera with a V-mount or Anton Bauer snap-on and enables remote TV production over long distances with transmission of digital video and sound signals via fibre optics. The result: end-to-end signal transmission of HD video and sound signals in broadcasting quality, without compromise.

Telecast’s CopperHead is the widely used fibre-optic multiplexing system that is suited for remote TV production — for example, for live sports broadcasts from the racetrack or athletics field. Its compelling features are lightweight freedom, reliability, and low power consumption. In addition to camera-control and communication units, the portfolio of the U.S. manufacturer includes pan-tilt systems, intercom solutions, accessories for video transport, mixing consoles, and portable solutions for cable assemblies.
