FIA, EBU ink deal for World Rally Championship

The International Motorsport Federation (FIA) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) have extended their production and distribution services agreement for the remainder of the 2012 World Rally Championship (WRC) season. Under the contract, the EBU’s production subsidiary Eurovision Production Coordination (EPC) will continue to film and produce the season’s programming entirely in HD, while the EBU will provide distribution services to a global audience. The FIA’s extension with the EBU comes with the WRC apparently no nearer to finding a new permanent promoter.
